SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Track & Field thrower Tia Hart, Men's Track & Field thrower Scottie Reyes, and Men's Track & Field middle-distance runner Dillan Wendel each received Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors this week.

Hart, a sophomore from Vanderbilt, Texas (Industrial), was named the SCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week, and Reyes and Wendel were named SCAC Field and Track Athletes of the Week, respectively.

Hart notched two second-place overall finishes in her throwing events at the Trinity Invitational. In the shot put, she threw 37-10 1/2 to move her to the top of the NCAA Division III list in that event. In the javelin, she tossed 117-10, which currently ranks seventh in DIII.

Reyes, a freshman from Dilley, Texas (Dilley), moved into the top two in NCAA Division III in three separate throwing events with performances at the Trinity Invitational. He earned second-place overall in the discus with a toss of 141-1, which bested the next DIII competitor by just short of 10 feet. Reyes' throw is currently ranked second in all of D3.

He was fourth overall in the hammer throw, behind only DII competitors. His toss of 156-7 was over 11 feet farther than any other DIII competitor in the meet, and the throw currently ranks second overall in DIII.

Wendel, a senior from Wharton, Texas (Boling), topped the field at the Trinity Invitational in the men's 800 meter event. His time of 1:58.33 currently sits sixth overall in NCAA Division III. He also ran a sub-50 leg as part of his team's 4x400 relay.
