Bulldogs Round Out Regular Season at OLLU West Side Classic

WINDCREST, Texas -- Highlighted by an eighth-place finish by Angel Miguel Hernandez (Luling/Luling), Texas Lutheran men's cross country recorded a seventh place team finish while the women's team placed eighth on Saturday at the OLLU West Side Classic at Windcrest Golf Club.

In the men's 8K, Hernandez finished just five seconds off a program record in the 8K with a time 26:06.5.

Rounding out the scorers for the Bulldogs were Lucas Falcon (Victoria/Victoria East), Isaiah Arriaga (Sugar Land/Dulles), Jonas Martinez (Edinburg/Homeschool), and Gabriel Ceballos (San Antonio/Smithson Valley) with finishes of 28th, 35th, 39th, and 52nd respectively.

In the women's 6k, Mackenzie Combs (New Braunfels/Canyon) led the way, finishing 45th overall with a time of 24:23.7. Freshman Audrey Malbrough (Selma/Veterans Memorial) followed Combs with a 52nd place finish at 24:39.1 with Gianna Kennedy (El Paso/El Paso) following close behind at 24:49.7 to finish 54th. Aliyah Fonsecea (Harlingen/Harlingen), fresh off of playing 26 minutes in Friday night's women's soccer match against Trinity, and Alexis Albert (Falls City/Falls City) rounded out the scorers for TLU at 55th and 57th place.
