Coldewey Earns SCAC Defensive Weekly Honor

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran senior libero Faith Coldewey (Floresville/Floresville) was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, the conference announced.

It's the second time Coldewey has received the honor this season and in her career after also being named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 30.

Coldewey averaged 6.0 digs per set for a team-high 54 digs as the Bulldogs swept through the weekend in Abilene. She and the TLU defense held their opponents to a collective .089 hitting percentage on the weekend. With her 19-dig performance against Centenary, Coldewey surpassed 1,000 digs in her career. Coldewey currently leads the SCAC with 5.70 digs per set while ranking 14th nationally.

Coldewey also added four aces and 12 assists offensively this weekend.

The Bulldogs will square off with No. 22 Trinity for the second time this season on Friday, Oct. 18, at 6 PM in San Antonio. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
