No. 3 Trinity Sweeps Bulldogs, 3-0

KERRVILLE, TX -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball was swept by #3 Trinity Saturday morning as they downed the Bulldogs in 3 sets (22-25, 14-25, 16-21) on the campus of Our Lady of the Hills High School in Kerrville, Texas.

Keriann Kallus (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) led all Bulldogs with 7 kills. Peyton Sulak (Needville/Needville) finished with 6 kills - leading the Bulldogs with a .417 kill percentage. Sulak, Madison Weisinger (Friendswood/Friendswood), and Paige Day (San Antonio/Reagan) led the Bulldogs in blocks with two each. Adrienne Galaviz (San Antonio/Harlandale) contributed 15 assists and 10 digs for her 7th double-double of the season.

The Bulldogs pushed the Tigers early leading by as much as 18-12 in the first set but a 5-0 run from the 3rd-ranked Tigers completely flipped the momentum. The Tigers would win 8 of the final 11 points in the first set to win the set 25-22. The Tigers carried that momentum into the second set - starting the set with an 11-2 lead. The Bulldogs were able to narrow the lead to 15-11 but they would get no closer than 4 points as the Tigers took set two. The Bulldogs kept it close early on - trailing 9-8 - but the Tigers would pounce soon after stretching out to a 19-12 lead before closing out the match 25-16.
