Second-ranked Trinity Tigers win two conference matches Friday against Texas Lutheran

SEGUIN, Texas -- Second-ranked Trinity collected two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball victories over Texas Lutheran on Friday.
 
In TLU's Memorial Gymnasium, the Tigers won in four sets (25-9, 25-27, 25-9, 25-11) and in three sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-14).
 
Trinity improved to 12-2 overall and to 12-2 in the SCAC.
 
TLU dropped to 1-11 overall and to 1-11 in the SCAC.
 
In the first match, Madison Weisinger contributed five kills and two solo blocks, and Keriann Kallus had five block assists.
 
TLU was held to a -.108 hitting percentage. Trinity tallied 15 total blocks against the Bulldogs in the first contest. Trinity also served 14 aces.
 
In the second match, TLU hit -.011 while Trinity hit .300.
 
Lexi Morris collected 13 digs for the Bulldogs, and Hayden Smyers recorded five digs.
 
Tanyse Moehrig had three block assists, and Adrienne Galaviz dished out 10 assists.
 
The Tigers added seven aces in the late match.
 
TLU continues conference play this Tuesday with a pair of matches against Schreiner. The first match is set for a 1 pm. start. The second match starts at 5 p.m. Both matches will be played in TLU's Memorial Gymnasium.
