TLU Distance Team Competes at Carl Kight Lumberjack Invitational

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran track and field team split up this weekend as the TLU distance team competed in the Carl Kight Lumberjack Invitational hosted by Stephen F. Austin University over the course of two days in Nacogdoches in a meet featuring athletes from all three NCAA levels and a ton of personal records from the Bulldogs.

Freshman Aliyah Fonseca (Harlingen/Harlingen) finished 13th overall and fourth amongst Division-III runners in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 12:20.37.

Magdalyn Brown (San Antonio/Madison) finished 38th in the 1500m run at 5:10.35.

Mackenzie Combs (New Braunfels/Canyon) clocked in at 19:09.50 in the 5000m run to finish 40th.

Audrey Malbrough (Selma/Veterans Memorial) finished 43rd in the 800m run with a time of 2:27.76.
