Improved results for Texas Lutheran Bulldogs at UIW Invitational

SAN ANTONIO -- Texas Lutheran thrower Scottie Reyes finished second in the discus at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational with a person-record toss of 48.83 meters (160 feet, 2 inches) on Saturday.
 
Reyes now sits eighth nationally in NCAA Division III with his latest PR.
 
Jackie Mora notched a season's best in the 200 with a time of 25.84 seconds. Mora moved up to 44th nationally with the time.
 
Tia Hart was second in the javelin with a throw of 34.19 (112-2).
 
Jerry Garcia and Koby Green each broke 4:25 in the 1,500. Garcia ran a personal-best 4:19.37, and Green posted a personal-best of 4:21.15.
 
Dillan Wendel placed 12th out of 51 runners and was the top NCAA DIII finisher in the 800. He crossed the line in 1:56.50.
 
Zachary Herman moved up to 39th nationally in the shot put with a toss of 14.77 (48-5.5), and Caimen McDonough cracked the top 50 (47th) nationally in the triple jump with a leap of 13.6 (44-7.5).
 
The TLU men's 4x400 relay team of Arrion Knight, Ralph Miller, Kaleb Bratchett, and Wendel also moved into the top 50 (41st) with a time of 3:24.39.
 
Both TLU teams compete next Saturday at the Texas A&M-Kingsville Cactus Cup in Kingsville, Texas.
 
TLU will host the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Track & Field Championships on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25 at TLU's Bulldog Stadium.
