Texas Lutheran Opens at Women's ITA Southwest Regional Championships
SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's tennis team opened up at the 2024 ITA Southwest Regional Championships with one match on Thursday and a slew of matches on Friday at the Butch Newman Tennis Center on the campus of Trinity University.
Texas Lutheran dropped their lone singles match on Thursday and as well as their doubles match on Friday in their respective championship draws.
Lindsay Beville (New Braunfels/Canyon) won her first two matches in the B draw and will play in the semifinals of the B draw Saturday morning.
The team of Kassidee Webb and Lucero Alvarado won their opening two matches in the B draw on Friday and will compete in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Alvarado and Serenity Cabrera fell in the opening round of their respective draws while Mercedes Tirado advanced via default and will open singles competition on Saturday.
The ITA Southwest Regional Championships continue on Saturday with the Bulldogs competing in singles and doubles competition. Live stats are available here.
