Beville Earns SCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week Honors

SEGUIN, Texas --  Freshman Lindsay Beville (New Braunfels/Canyon) was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Singles Player of the Week after securing two singles wins last weekend, the conference office announced Monday.

Beville posted a 2-0 weekend at No. 1 singles in the Bulldogs 1-1 weekend with a win over Austin College at Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center on Saturday. Beville's first win of the weekend came in two sets against Covenant College, 6-2, 6-3. The following day, she picked up her second victory of the weekend and third of the season with a 6-0, 6-0 decision against Austin College.

This marks the first time in her career that Beville has earned SCAC Player of the Week honors and first women's tennis player to earn the honor this season. Elena Brancaleon was the most recent weekly conference honoree when she earned Singles Player of the Week on March 7, 2023.

After winning back-to-back matches, Beville and the Bulldogs are back in action today against St. Mary University (KS) today at 3 PM.
