Speyrer, Bulldogs Wrap Fall Season at ITAs
ABILENE, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's tennis team wrapped up play in the 2023 ITA Southwest Regional Championships hosted by Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, on Saturday.
The doubles team of Ashley Medellin and Abbie Speyrer (Shallowater/Shallowater) fell 8-1 to East Texas Baptist in the second round of Flight B in the Bulldogs only doubles match of the day.
Allie Speyrer (Shallowater/Shallowater) would advance to the Finals of the Gold flight after winning her semifinal match against Schreiner 6-2, 6-3.
Abbie Speyrer would drop her singles match in the Purple Draw semifinals 7-6, 6-0. Cooper Lindstrom (San Antonio/TMI Episcopal) won her match against Howard Payne 6-2, 6-2.
The ITA regional concludes the Texas Lutheran Women's Tennis fall season. The Bulldogs will return to the court this spring.
