Texas Lutheran Finishes Season Against Colorado College

GEORGETOWN, Texas -- The No. 6 seeded Texas Lutheran women's tennis team was defeated 5-0 by No. 3 seed Colorado College in the first round of the SCAC Championships on Thursday at the Marvin D. Henderson Tennis Courts in Georgetown, Texas.

The Tigers (6-12) quickly went up 3-0, sweeping the Bulldogs in doubles competition.

Christa Bennett (Deer Park/Deer Park) started off hot in the No. 4 position, winning the first set 6-2, before dropping the second set. The match went unfinished before the match could be decided in the third set. Bennett would be the only Bulldog to win a set in singles competition.

The Tigers would take two singles matches to clinch the match.

The Bulldogs finish the season with a 3-13 record.

Thursday's match served as seniors Paula Acosta (Katy/Cinco Ranch) and Kaitlyn Enloe's (Seguin/Seguin) final collegiate matches. We thank them for all of their contributions to the Texas Lutheran tennis program.
