Bulldogs Swept by Colorado College, 9-0

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis dropped their SCAC conference match to Colorado College Friday evening, 9-0, at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs were swept in women's doubles and singles competition Friday in Seguin.

The doubles team of Christa Bennett (Deer Park/Deer Park) and Elena Brancaleon (San Antonio/Brandeis) pushed their match to a 6-8 finish.

Saturday's match against University of Dallas has been declared a forfeit on Dallas' behalf so it will not be played, but Texas Lutheran will still honor senior Paula Acosta (Katy/Cinco Ranch) prior to Saturday's men's match against the Crusaders. Texas Lutheran concludes the regular season with a 4-12 record, the program's highest win total since 2020. The Bulldogs will now turn their attention to the 2023 SCAC Tournament that will be hosted by Southwestern in Georgetown, April 28-30.
