Bulldogs Fall to Schreiner, 6-3

KERRVILLE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis dropped their road SCAC conference match to Schreiner, 6-3, Saturday morning at the George & Frances Cree Tennis Center in Kerrville to fall to 3-11 on the season.

The team of Victoria Gonzalez (Harlingen/Harlingen) and Haley Hoffmann (Seguin/Navarro) would pick up their fourth doubles victory of the season winning their match, 8-6. The match made for their second consecutive win as a team and the fifth straight doubles match win for Gonzalez. On the season, Gonzalez has seven doubles wins, four with Haley Hoffmann and three with Christa Bennett (Deer Park/Deer Park).

In singles competition, it would be senior Paula Acosta (Katy/Cinco Ranch) and freshman Christa Bennett who would earn Texas Lutheran's two singles victories on Saturday - winning both matches in three sets. The wins would be the fourth for both Acosta and Bennett on the season.

Up next, Texas Lutheran continues SCAC play as they welcome the Colorado College Tigers to the Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center on Friday, April 14th. First serve is set for 2 PM.
