SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis dropped their home opener to East Texas Baptist Friday evening, 8-1.

The team of freshmen Christa Bennett (Deer Park/Deer Park) and Victoria Gonzalez (Harlingen/Harlingen) secured TLU women's tennis' first point of the 2023 season and picked up their first collegiate match wins - winning their doubles match 8-4 over the visiting Tigers.

Women's tennis was swept in singles competition.

Texas Lutheran is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 11, in their first conference matchup against the Southwestern Pirates in Georgetown. First serve is set for 10 AM.
