Women's Tennis Picks Up Home Win against Howard Payne

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis improved to 1-4 - picking up their first match win, 6-1, over Howard Payne Friday afternoon at the Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.

Texas Lutheran (1-4) swept the doubles matches for the first time since February 8, 2020 against Howard Payne. Teams of Elena Brancaleon (San Antonio/Brandeis)/Paula Acosta and Kaitlyn Enloe (Seguin/Seguin)/Haley Hoffmann (Seguin/Navarro) each won their doubles matches by the score of 8-4.

Texas Lutheran would win four of five singles matches. Elena Brancaleon, Paula Acosta, Kaitlyn Enloe, and Haley Hoffmann would all collect their first wins of the season. Haley Hoffmann would win by forfeit. It would require a third set tiebreaker, but Kaitlyn Enloe would pick up her first singles win of the season 6-4, 4-6, 10-5.
