Women's Tennis Competes in ITA Southwest Regional

HOUSTON, TX -- Texas Lutheran Men's Tennis competed in the 2021 Southwest Regional ITAs Friday in an indoor tournament hosted by St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas.

The Bulldogs dropped their sole outing in the doubles draw to LeTourneau 8-2.

Later in the afternoon, the Bulldogs competed in solo competition which saw Elena Brancaleon (San Antonio/Louis D. Brandeis) secure a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the opening round of the A draw over East Texas Baptist.

In the same draw, Kayleigh Gardner (El Campo/El Campo) and Kaitlyn Enloe (Seguin/Seguin) both dropped their opening matches 6-3, 6-2.

The Bulldogs lost all 3 solo matches in the B Draw.

After dropping her opening match in the main B draw, Cooper Lindstrom (San Antonio/TMI Episcopal) advanced in the consolation stage due to her opponent retiring before dropping her next match to Schreiner.

The ITA regional concludes the Texas Lutheran Women's Tennis fall season. The Bulldogs will return to the court this spring.
