Western New Mexico registers 9-0 victory over Texas Lutheran Women's Tennis

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Men's and Women's Tennis squads dropped non-conference home matches Saturday to NCAA Division II opponent Western New Mexico University.
 
TLU fell 8-1 in the men's match and 9-0 in the women's contest.
 
TLU now has a 1-10 overall record in men's tennis and an 0-9 mark in women's tennis.
 
The Western New Mexico Men improved to 2-15 overall, and the WNMU women's team moved its record to 5-13.
 
TLU's Ryan Schulte and Matthew Stephenson played well at No. 1 doubles, losing 8-6 to Jonathan Vega and Joaquin Delpino.
 
Schulte lost a hard-fought match at No. 3 singles. Rodrigo Mere defeated Schulte 6-4, 6-4.
 
The Bulldogs' next matches are set for Sunday, April 25 when the teams host Colorado College at 10 a.m.
