HOUSTON, TX -- Texas Lutheran women's soccer (4-8) dropped a 1-0 final score at St. Thomas (TX) (2-7-3) Friday night at AVEVA Stadium in Houston.
After a scoreless first half, the Bulldogs conceded an early 2nd half goal to fall behind 1-0. The Celts defense rendered the Bulldogs' comeback attempts mute dominating possession throughout the duration of the second half.
Nani Sanchez (McAllen/McAllen Memorial) and Kelly Wolfe (San Antonio/Churchill) both took shots on goal in the second half for the Bulldogs - forcing saves from the Celts' keeper. The Celts outshot the Bulldogs 18-5 on the night. In-Goal for the Bulldogs, Charleigh Phipps made 4 saves and surrendered one goal.
