Asbury Finishes in Top Ten as Bulldogs Wrap Hal Sutton Invitational

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team wrapped the 2025 Hal Sutton Invitational Tuesday at the Centenary College Golf Club at Stonebridge.

Texas Lutheran only has three golfers participating in the tournament and did not configure in the team standings.

Freshman Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) paced the Bulldogs by matching her first round effort shooting 11-over (83), to finish tied for seventh place at 22-over par.

Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) finished 18th overall at 39-over par while Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) climbed three spots on the leaderboard to finish 23rd at 45-over.

 

The Bulldogs return to the course March 28-30 when they participate in the UCSC Invitational hosted by UC-Santa Cruz.
