Bulldogs Open Season at Schreiner Shootout

KERRVILLE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's golf opened their spring 2025 slate at the Schreiner Shootout at Comanche Trace in Kerrville on Monday.

Texas Lutheran only has three golfers participating in the tournament and will not configure into the team standings. Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) led the Bulldogs through the opening round with an 18 hole score of 15-over. Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) finished two strokes behind her to sit in a tie for 41st place. Senior Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) signed for a score of 20-over par to enter the clubhouse in 51st place.

The Bulldogs trio will look to climb the individual leaderboard on Tuesday as they return to Comanche Trace with an 8:30 tee time.
