Texas Lutheran Finishes Fifth at Crusader Cup

WESTWORTH VILLAGE, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team wrapped the 2024 Crusader Cup at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Westworth Village, Texas on Tuesday.

As a team, Texas Lutheran finished fifth combining for a score of 710 (+134) over 36 holes.

Freshman Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) paced the Bulldogs on day two, matching her opening round score of 86 (+14) in the final round Tuesday. Asbury finished the tournament in a tie for ninth place (+28) for her third consecutive top ten finish. Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) finished tied for 17th at 34-over while Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) finished a stroke behind her to finish in a tie for 19th.

Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) climbed three spots on the leaderboard on Tuesday with a 14-over second round to sign for a final tally of 37-over to close the tournament in a tie for 21st place. Peighton Guillory (Atascocita/Atascocita) finished 38th at 67-over.
