Texas Lutheran Opens at Crusader Cup
WESTWORTH VILLAGE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's golf opened the 2024 Crusader Cup at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Westworth Village, Texas on Monday.
Freshman Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) and senior Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) paced the Bulldogs shooting 14-over (86), tying for 11th through the opening 18 holes.
Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) entered the clubhouse just two strokes behind them to sit in 16th while Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) sits in a tie for 24th after an opening round score of 95. Peighton Guillory (Atascocita/Atascocita) is in 38th at 36-over.
As a team, Texas Lutheran is in fifth place through the opening 18 holes with a score of 67-over 355. Our Lady of the Lake University leads through the first day with a score of 29-over 317.
The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at 9 AM at Hawks Creek Golf Club. Live stats will be available here.
