Texas Lutheran Wraps Bash at the Bend with Fifth Place Finish
MANY, LA -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team wrapped the 2024 Bash at the Bend Tuesday at Cypress Bend Resort in Many, Louisiana.
As a team, Texas Lutheran finished fifth combining for a score of 757 (+181) over 36 holes.
Freshman Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) paced the Bulldogs on day two with an 87 (+15) in the final round Tuesday. Asbury finished the tournament in a tie for eighth place (+31) for her second consecutive top ten finish. Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) climbed ten spots on the leaderboard on Tuesday with a 15-over second round to sign for a final tally of 38-over to close the tournament in a tie for 17th place.
Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) finished tied for 22nd - climbing 11 spots from Monday - with a final score of 45-over while Peighton Guillory (Atascocita/Atascocita) finished 40th at 67-over.
Texas Lutheran returns to action Oct. 28-29 at the 2024 Crusader Cup hosted by the University of Dallas at Hawk's Creek in Dallas, Texas to conclude their fall season.
