Bulldogs Open Season with Day One of SCAC Fall Preview
LAKE WHITNEY, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's golf opened its 2024 fall schedule Monday in the 2024 SCAC Fall Preview at White Bluff Golf Resort in Lake Whitney, Texas.
Freshman Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) paced the Bulldogs through the opening round, finishing her first collegiate round in a tie for 12th place with a score of 16-over (88).
Senior Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) sits in 24th place at 24-over while Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) sits in 37th place. Freshman Peighton Guillory (Atascocita/Atascocita) slotted in 41st place at 49-over after 18 holes.
As a team, Texas Lutheran is in 8th place through the opening 18 holes with a score of 122-over 410. Tournament host, St. Thomas, leads the tournament through the first day with a score of 42-over 330.
The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at White Bluff with live stats available at golfstat.com.
