Texas Lutheran Wraps Alamo City Classic

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team wrapped the 2023 Alamo City Classic Tuesday at Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio.

As a team, Texas Lutheran finished seventh combining for a score of 677 (+109) over 36 holes.

Audre Garza (New Braunfels/Canyon) and Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) paced the Bulldogs on day two with a pair of 78s (+7) in the final round Tuesday. Garza finished the Classic in 20th (+18) while Frederick finished one stroke behind in 21st (+19).

Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) finished 31st with a score of 34-over. Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) signed for a final tally of 90 on day two, matching her day one score, to close the Classic at 38-over to finish 33rd while Mireia Bustamante (Austin/McNeil) finished 35th.

Texas Lutheran returns to action Oct. 15-17 at the Coastal Collegiate Classic at the Salishan Golf Links in Gleneden Beach, Oregon, to conclude their fall season.
