Texas Lutheran Finishes Ninth at The Legends Cup

KINGSLAND, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team concluded The Legends Cup Tuesday at Legends Golf Course in Kingsland, Texas.

As a team, Texas Lutheran finished ninth in a field of 11 teams combining for a score of 684 (+52) over 36 holes.

Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) paced the Bulldogs on day two with an 8-over 72 in the final round Tuesday. She finished the Cup 21-over to tie for 30th. Audre Garza (New Braunfels/Canyon) finished tied for 33rd with a 36-hole score of 167 (+23).

Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) finished 45th with a score of 31-over. Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) signed for a final tally of 86 on day two to close the tournament at 34-over to finish tied for 48th. Mireia Bustamante (Austin/McNeil) finished 51st with a final score of 36-over.

The Bulldogs return to the course next week when they participate in the Alamo City Classic hosted by Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, October 9-10.
