Bulldogs Wrap Lady Bulldog Classic
SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team wrapped the 2023 Lady Bulldog Classic Tuesday at Starcke Park Golf Course in Seguin.
As a team, Texas Lutheran finished eighth in a field of nine teams combining for a score of 682 (+114) over 36 holes.
Audre Garza (New Braunfels/Canyon) paced the Bulldogs on day two with a 14-over 71 in the final round Tuesday. She finished the Classic 28-over and tied with teammate Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) for 36th place in the 36-hole tournament.
Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) finished 41st with a score of 31-over. Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) signed for a final tally of 87 on day two to close the Classic at 34-over to finish tied with teammate Mireia Bustamante (Austin/McNeil) for 43rd.
The Bulldogs return to the course next month when they participate in The Legends Cup hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor in Kingsland, Texas, October 2-3.
