Bulldogs Open Season with Day One of Lady Bulldog Classic
SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's golf opened its 2023 fall schedule Monday in the Lady Bulldog Classic at Starcke Park Golf Course in Seguin.
Junior Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) and sophomore Mireia Bustamante (Austin/McNeil) paced the Bulldogs shooting 11-over (82) as they finished tied for 30th through day one of the Bulldog Classic.
Senior Audre Garza (New Braunfels/Canyon) trails her Bulldogs teammates by three strokes to sit in 38th place while Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) sits in 49th place. Freshman Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) shot 18-over to slot in a tie for 42nd.
As a team, Texas Lutheran is tied for 7th through the opening 18 holes with a score of 51-over 335. UT-Dallas leads the Lady Bulldog Classic through the first day with a score of 12-over 296.
The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at 8 AM at Starcke Park Golf Course.
