Wynter Flores Wins Individual Title at Alamo City Classic, Texas Lutheran Finishes Fourth

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Wynter Flores (San Antonio/Incarnate Word), a senior from San Antonio, Texas, made four birdies Tuesday en route to a an even-par 71 to claim her first collegiate tournament championship at the Trinity University Alamo City Classic at Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio, Texas.

Flores finished the 36-hole tournament at 2-over 144 to become the first Bulldog women's golfer to earn medalist honors since SCAC 30th Anniversary Team member, Summer Swift, won the McMurry Rockwind Links Intercollegiate in September 2019.

As a team, Texas Lutheran finished in fourth place with a final total of 650 (+82).

Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) finished tied for 16th. The Normangee native shot 78 and 84 for a 20-over 162.

Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) totaled a collegiate-best 29-over 171 to finish 25th.

Junior Audre Garza (New Braunfels/Canyon) finished 27th at 31-over and Mireia Bustamante (Austin/McNeil) finished 32nd at 42-over.

Texas Lutheran returns to action Oct. 23-24 at the Crusader Invitational at the Winstar Golf Course in Thackerville, Oklahoma, to conclude their fall season.
