Texas Lutheran Women's Golf finishes play at West Region Invitational

GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Wynter Flores improved on her first-round score by four shots and moved into a tie for 21st as Texas Lutheran Women's Golf closed out play Tuesday at the West Region Invitational.
 
At Berry Creek Country Club, Flores led the Bulldogs' contingent of three golfers that competed as individuals in the tournament. Audre Garza and Samantha De La Rosa placed 28th and 35th overall, respectively.
 
On Tuesday, Garza shot a 93, and De La Rosa posted a 104.
 
Southwestern won the tournament by two shots over Mary Hardin-Baylor.
 
Sydney McConnell of UMHB took the individual title by four shots over Madison Goldberg of Southwestern.
 
TLU's next tournament is the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships, set for April 19-20 at Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco, Texas.
