TLU Women's Golf plays round one of SCAC Conference Preview

BLANCO, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Golf student-athletes Audre Garza and Samantha De La Rosa sit in 17th and 24th place, respectively, after round one of the SCAC Conference Preview tournament at Vaaler Creek.
 
Garza, a freshman from New Braunfels (Canyon), recorded a 93, and De La Rosa, a sophomore from San Antonio (Brennan), posted a 104.
 
Trinity leads the team race after Monday's 321 team score. Southwestern is second at 329.
 
Trinity's Caterina Mora Adrover is the first-round leader. She shot a six-over 78.
 
Madison Goldberg and Linsey Garza of Southwestern are in a tie for second. The teammates each posted a 78.
 
The tournament, played on the Vaaler Creek course that will host the SCAC Golf Championships on April 19-20, concludes Tuesday with a final 18 holes of golf.
