TLU Women's Golf concludes play at Alamo City Classic

SAN ANTONIO -- Texas Lutheran Women's Golf team members Audre Garza and Samantha De La Rosa finished up play Tuesday at the Trinity University Alamo City Classic.
 
Played at The Quarry Golf Club, Garza improved her score by eight shots over Monday's round. Garza, a freshman from New Braunfels (Canyon), shot a 94 in Tuesday's final round.
 
De La Rosa improved her score by 14 shots, dropping from a 117 on Monday to a 103.
 
TLU did not figure into the team standings because it played with only two players.
 
University of Texas at Dallas won the tournament with rounds of 306 and 307. The Comets won by 20 shots over host Trinity.
 
Karen Alvarez of UT Dallas won the individual title. She posted rounds of 76 and 75 to win by a shot of teammate Lindy Patterson.
 
TLU's next tournament is set for March 8-9 at the Schreiner Shootout. The tournament will be played at Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas.
