Swift, a four-year letter-winner for TLU Women's Golf and the 2018 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Individual Champion, was nominated for the sportsmanship award by her head coach, H.C. Tran.

"Summer has been a hardworking and dedicated team member for her four years at TLU," said Tran. "She has consistently been a role model to her teammates with her excellent playing abilities and work ethic, which have held the rest of the team accountable and at the ready."

Swift was one of five TLU student-athletes nominated for the female sportsmanship award. Swift's fellow nominees were: Jordaine Bishop of Softball, Cami Davis of Women's Basketball, Samantha Stafford of Women's Tennis, and Peyton Sulak of Women's Volleyball.

On Monday, Swift also was named to the 2019-20 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-West Region Team for NCAA Division III.

Swift, a native of Fentress, Texas and a graduate of San Marcos High School, has been named to the SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll three times.

Swift will graduate from TLU after this semester and will head to physical therapy school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She will be in a three-year program in pursuit of her doctorate in physical therapy.
