BLANCO, Texas -- Texas Lutheran freshman Wynter Flores (San Antonio/Incarnate Word/Texas A&M International) placed third overall Tuesday at the SCAC Conference Preview, hosted by TLU at Vaaler Creek Golf Club.
Flores followed up Monday's 79 with a round of 82 on Tuesday.
Flores tied for third and was just a shot out of a first-place playoff between Sarah Buss of Trinity and Reygan Rodriguez of Schreiner.
Buss won the playoff after one sudden-death hole. She parred the 18th hole. Rodriguez bogeyed the 18th.
Buss led Trinity to the team title. The Tigers won by a shot over Southwestern, 652 to 653.
Schreiner, St. Thomas and Johnson & Wales-Denver closed out the team standings.
TLU played with three golfers - Flores, senior Summer Swift (Fentress/San Marcos), and freshman Bernadette Barringer (Seguin/homeschool).
Swift placed 10th overall with scores of 83 and 85. Barringer placed 28th overall.
The Bulldogs' next play on March 23-24 at the Centenary Invitational in Bossier, La.
