Swift moves up to third; Bulldogs finish fourth at Pinecrest Intercollegiate

LONGVIEW, Texas -- Texas Lutheran's Summer Swift (Fentress/San Marcos) moved up to third with a final-round 84 at LeTourneau University's Pinecrest Intercollegiate, which concluded Tuesday at Pinecrest Country Club.

Texas Lutheran finished fourth in the team standings. The Bulldogs improved on Monday's 385 by six shots.

Tyler Junior College (692) won the tournament. University of Texas at Dallas (708) took second. The Comets were followed by East Texas Baptist (742), TLU (764), Friends (Kansas) (786), and Jacksonville College (819).

TLU's Kristen Cox (Utopia/Utopia) finished 17th overall after a 99 on Tuesday.

Kaley Martin (Cypress/Cypress Woods) improved by 11 shots from round one and moved up to 19th.

Halie Lewis (Schulenburg/Schulenburg) shot 103 on Tuesday and finished 23rd overall.

TLU returns to action on March 18-19 with play at the Centenary Hal Sutton Invitational in Bossier City, La.
