Bulldogs Continue Streak with 70-43 Win Over Hendrix

CONWAY, AR -- Kailey Lacy (Pflugerville/Hendrickson) scored a career-high 16 points before halftime as Texas Lutheran eased past Hendrix College Tuesday night at Grove Gymnasium on the campus of Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. With the win, Texas Lutheran picked up their fourth win in five all-time matchups against the Warriors and extended their current win streak to four games.

Trailing 13-11 after the first quarter, the Bulldogs went on a 27-4 run over the course of the second quarter and would not trail the Warriors the remainder of the game - leading by as many as 27.

Lacy was a perfect 6-for-6 in the first half - including 4-of-4 from deep - in 16 minutes.

Texas Lutheran shot 40.6% percent from the field and seven of 26 from beyond the arc. Kailee Mulkey (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) picked up her second consecutive double-double, scoring 14 points while adding 11 rebounds, a career-high, and four steals. Freshman Sarahi Jones (Los Fresnos/Los Fresnos) set career-highs across the board, finishing with a final stat line of eight points, 10 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks. Texas Lutheran dominated the boards Tuesday night - doubling up the Warriors 54-27. Kayla Presley (Kyle/San Marcos) also stuffed the stat sheet for the Bulldogs - matching career-highs in assists (5) and steals (3) while scoring seven points.

The Texas Lutheran bench rode their momentum from Sunday's game into Tuesday - scoring 49 points - led by Lacy, Mulkey, and Jones.
