Bio

Shelby Janda joined the Texas Lutheran Softball team as a graduate assistant coach in the 2019-20 academic year. The 2021 softball season was her second year with the team.

The Bulldogs advanced to the 2021 NCAA Division III National Championship Finals and played in the Finals Series against Virginia Wesleyan. The Bulldogs finished as the national runner-up and went 36-6 overall and 18-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

TLU won its seventh consecutive SCAC Championship and won its second consecutive regional championship.

Janda played collegiately at St. Edward's University in Austin. She is a graduate of St. Edward's.

Janda is a native of Seguin, Texas. She was a decorated high school softball player for Seguin High School.
