In her third season on staff, Sarah Metzer '22 serves the Texas Lutheran softball program as a volunteer assistant coach.

A former Texas Lutheran softball student-athlete, Metzer was a two-time NFCA All-Region catcher for the Bulldogs and a member of the 2019 National Championship team.

Metzer earned First Team All-SCAC honors her junior and senior seasons. She finished her career with a .364/.420/.550 slash line. Her 2021 .473 batting average is the third highest in a single-season in TLU Softball history.

Metzer finished with a career record of 140-21 and graduated as one of the most decorated Texas Lutheran athletes ever - winning a 2019 National Championship, claiming NCAA Runner-Up in 2021, and claiming three SCAC Championships.
