Five from No. 9 Softball Earn Spots on NFCA All-West Region Team

SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran softball program featured five student-athletes on the three National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region 10 (West) Teams, the organization announced Friday afternoon.

Amanda White (Lockhart/Lockhart) (Pitcher) and Annie Kay (Sinton/Sinton) (Outfield) both earned NFCA All-West Region First Team honors, while Faith Hernandez (Dinuba, CA/Dinuba) (First Base), Caelee Clark (Montgomery/Lake Creek) (Second Base), and Serena Gonzalez (Corpus Christi/Foy H. Moody) (DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher) were selected to the NFCA All-West Region Third Team.

It's the third career all-region honor for Clark, who was selected to the second team in 2023 and 2024. Kay, Hernandez, and Gonzalez all pick up their second career all-region selection, while this is the first career honor for White.

The quartet of Kay (.485), Gonzalez (.390), Hernandez (.389), and Clark (.376) are the leading hitters for Texas Lutheran in terms of batting average. Gonzalez leads the team in doubles (8), home runs (12), and RBI (53), Kay in hits (66) and Clark in runs scored (56).

White paced the Bulldogs pitching staff with a 21-1 record and 99 strikeouts in 145.2 innings, while heading into the NCAA Tournament with a 0.77 ERA that ranked fourth in the NCAA after going through the 2025 regular season undefeated.

All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the three NFCA Division III All-America squads, which will be announced May 28 online and on-site at the NCAA Division III Finals banquet in Bloomington, Illinois.

TLU advanced to Saturday's regional final with the opponent to be determined after Friday's elimination game between No. 21 Ithaca and UMass-Boston. First pitch is scheduled for 11 AM EST at Kostrinsky Field with the "if-necessary" game set for a 1:30 PM start. The game will be broadcast on ncaa.com.
