White Secures SCAC Softball Weekly Honors

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran softball's Amanda White (Lockhart/Lockhart) has been honored as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced today.

White joins teammate Ashlyn Strother and Schreiner's Danielle Pedraza as the only SCAC athletes to receive more than one 2023 SCAC weekly honor.

The senior righty elevated her season record to 8-3 with a pair of wins over Wellesley and Austin College in week eight. She also tabbed her second save of the season against DePauw to complete the Bulldogs sweep of the midweek doubleheader.

In three appearances and 9.0 total innings of work, White maintained a 0.00 ERA while only allowing three hits and no walk; she kept opposing batters to a .103 batting average.

White has now made seven pitching appearances in which she kept opponents scoreless and has improved her season ERA to 1.96, which ranks fourth in the SCAC. White ranks second in the SCAC with 57 strikeouts and leads the conference with two saves.

White and the Bulldogs ride their eight game win streak into a midweek three-game conference series against Southwestern at Ed Kruse Stadium starting Wednesday at 5 & 7 PM. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
