Acero, Brown Qualify for NCAA Championships

SEGUIN, Texas -- Senior Ezra Acero (San Antonio/Harlan) and freshman Braylen Brown will represent the Texas Lutheran men's track and field team at the 2025 NCAA Division-III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio, from May 22-24.

Ezra Acero is set to compete in his third straight NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship after qualifying the past two seasons as he continues his hunt for All-America status that has eluded him his past two trips to nationals. Acero enters the event tied for tenth in NCAA Division-III with a mark of 4.95m (16' 2.75") set in March.

Freshman Braylen Brown will represent the Bulldogs in the 400m dash as the freshman won the 400m dash at the 2025 SCAC Championships with the SCAC record setting and national qualifying time of 47.24 seconds. Brown enters the championships ranked in a tie for 20th amongst declared competitors.

Brown will open competition for the Bulldogs on Friday, May 23 in the 400m dash prelims while Acero will compete in the pole vault on Saturday, May 24 at 12 PM EST.
