Coach Holland's Comments: "We didn't have a lot of entries accepted into the meet at Texas State, but what we did have was competitive. Very proud of the PRs and season bests we had.

There were a few performances that stood out for the men. First there was Weston throwing a season best in the javelin Thursday night. Then Dalon in the shot put with an outdoor PR on Friday morning. Later that night the 5K guys all looked strong (Carlos, Koby, Lucas and Cole - most had PRs). Then on Saturday our relays shined. The 4x100 ran a season best and jumped up in the national standings, and later that evening our 4x400 ran away from the rest of the field in our heat for another season best and a spot pretty high on the national list. Since we didn't get into a lot of those open events, I know the guys were pretty motivated for the relays. Also soccer superstar Luis Green raced a great 800 to finish only 4 hundredths of a second off our school record. Koby and Carlos returned again Saturday afternoon to run great 1,500 races.

For the most part, it was a good meet for the men. Definitely looking forward to getting pushed to another level next week at Angelo State!"
