Five Bulldogs earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors in combined seven events
SEGUIN, Texas -- Five Texas Lutheran student-athletes were named to United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region teams in seven combined events for the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season.
Scottie Reyes (Dilley/Dilley) earned a pair of All-Region awards with his performances in the men's shot put and discus.
Teammate Zachary Herman (Austin/Lake Travis) also claimed two All-Region awards with his marks in the men's hammer throw and shot put.
Caimen McDonough (Canyon Lake/Canyon Lake) received an All-Region award in the men's high jump.
Dejah Carr (Houston/Channelview) picked up an All-Region award in the women's hammer throw.
Tia Hart (Vanderbilt/Industrial) was named All-Region in the women's shot put.
Hart claimed her second outdoor All-Region honor. In 2019, she was All-Region in the javelin.
Carr added an outdoor All-Region award to the indoor All-Region honor she received in 2020 for the weight throw.
Herman and Reyes each added outdoor All-Region honors to their indoor honors for shot put (Herman) and weight throw (Reyes) in 2020.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction. In addition, each of the members of the region's top-3 relay teams received All-Region honors.
The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast, West – match those used during the cross country and indoor track & field season.
