PRs for Scottie Reyes as Bulldogs compete at Angelo State's David Noble Relays

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Texas Lutheran thrower Scottie Reyes registered personal records in the discus and shot put and stayed in the NCAA DIII national Top 10 with performances Friday at Angelo State University's David Noble Relays.
 
In a meet largely made up of NCAA Division II competitors, Reyes was sixth in the discus with a toss of 47.45 meters (155 feet, 8 inches). He was ninth in the shot put with a mark of 15.70 (51-6.25).
 
Through meets contested Friday, Reyes ranks ninth in the shot put and 10th in the discus among NCAA DIII competitors.
 
Caimen McDonough placed sixth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.89 meters (6-2.25). He is 48th in the event in the latest DIII rankings.
 
McDonough also finished 15th in the 400 hurdles in a time of 58.55 seconds. He is 73rd nationally in the 400 hurdles.
 
Arrion Knight competed in the 110 and 400 hurdles and placed 16th in the 400 hurdles in a time of 59.05. He was 17th in the 110 hurdles in a time of 15.84.
 
Knight is 58th nationally in the 110 hurdles and 76th nationally in the 400 hurdles. 
 
Troy Stephenson placed ninth in the pole vault by clearing 4.26 meters (13-11.75). He was the highest-placing competitor out of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, and he was second-best among DIII athletes.
 
Stephenson ranks 13th nationally in the pole vault with his clearance of 14-11 at the Trinity Invitational on March 5.
 
The Bulldogs are back in action next Friday and Saturday in San Antonio at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational.
