Six Bulldogs Earn USTFCCCA Indoor All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, LA -- Six Bulldogs: Ezra Acero (San Antonio/Harlan), Weston Geiger (Shiner/St. Paul), Dalon Harris, Elijah Jefferson (San Antonio/Construction Careers Academy), Bryce Powell-Chimene (Dayton/Dayton), and Gerrit Twitero (McQueeney/Seguin), all secured All-Region honors from the USTFCCCA for their incredible indoor seasons. All-Region honors for the 2023 NCAA Division-III Indoor Track & Field season were announced on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.

Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.

Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.

Ezra Acero and Weston Geiger both repeat as Indoor All-Region honorees. Ezra Acero repeats as an All-Region performer in the pole vault (4.80m) after earning honors in indoor and outdoor season as a freshman while Geiger repeats as an All-Region performer in the weight throw (15.67m).

Freshman Dalon Harris was recognized for his performance in the shot put (15.03m) while Bryce Powell-Chimene earned All-Region honors in the 400m dash (50.03 seconds).

Elijah Jefferson and Gerrit Twitero, who each will compete in the 2022 NCAA Division-III Indoor National Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, March 11-12, earned All-Region honors in the 200m dash (21.58m) and high jump (2.05m) respectively. Both Jefferson and Twitero rank second in the West Region entering the national championships as they pursue All-American status at the championships.
