Men's Tennis Defeats Dallas, 7-2, in Regular Season Finale

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Men's Tennis defeated Dallas, 7-2, at the Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center on Saturday to improve their regular season record to 4-13.

Texas Lutheran won two out of three doubles points with victories at Nos. 1 and 3 and followed with singles wins by Brody Smith (New Braunfels/Canyon), Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels),  Austin Hudson (San Marcos/San Marcos), Aaron Salinas (Kerrville/Tivy), and Jackson Leslie (New Braunfels/New Braunfels).

The doubles duos of Cashton Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels)/Austin Hudson (8-1) and Eric Moninger/Aaron Salinas (8-2) would win their doubles matches - marking the third doubles win for Moninger and Salinas and fourth of the season for Herrera and Hudson.

Brody Smith earned his fourth singles victory of the season with a 6-0, 6-3 win while Eric Moninger would earn his fifth victory of his freshman season with a 6-1, 6-2 win. Austin Hudson, Aaron Salinas, and Jackson Leslie would also claim singles victories on Saturday.

Texas Lutheran concludes the regular season with a 4-13 (2-5 SCAC) record. The Bulldogs will now turn their attention to the 2023 SCAC Tournament that will be hosted by Southwestern in Georgetown, April 28-30.
