Men's Tennis Falls to Grove City, 6-3
SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran men's tennis came up short in capturing its second straight win - falling to Grove City College, 6-3, Tuesday evening at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs (1-7) fell behind early after dropping two of the three doubles points and the Wolverines (4-2) would go on to secure the win with four more singles victories.
Brody Smith (New Braunfels/Canyon) and Logan Randall (Idalou/Idalou) secured the Bulldogs lone doubles win with an intense, 8-7, victory. The win is the third win of the season for the duo.
Austin Hudson (San Marcos/San Marcos) & Xavier Cristan (Corpus Christi/Flour Bluff) would pick up their second consecutive singles wins on Tuesday. Cristan would win his match, 6-2. 6-1, while Hudson would have to go to a decisive third set before pulling out the, 6-4, 2-6, 11-9, victory.
Texas Lutheran (1-7, 1-3 SCAC) will welcome Concordia University to Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center on Friday, March 10, at 3 PM for non-conference action.
