Texas Lutheran Finishes Season Against Southwestern

KERRVILLE, Texas -- After falling to the regionally ranked Southwestern Pirates, 6-0, in the opening round of the 2022 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Tennis Championships on Friday, the Texas Lutheran tennis team has concluded its 2022 season, at the H-E-B Tennis Center in Kerrville, Texas.

The team of Simon Carandang (Austin/Akins) and Aaron Salinas (Kerrville/Tivy) fell, 8-2, in the #1 doubles slot to open doubles play as the Bulldogs were swept in doubles competition.

Only three singles contests would be played before Southwestern would clinch the match. Hunter-Kemball Cook (Friendswood/Clear Brook), Dristan Weaver (Schertz/Clemens) and Aaron Salinas would all come up short in singles competition.

Friday's contest marked the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. It also served as senior Dristan Weaver's final collegiate match. We thank him for all of his contributions to the Texas Lutheran tennis program.
