Men's Tennis Falls to Covenant, 7-2

SEGUIN, Texas -- After numerous postponements due to weather resulting in a 9 PM start time and a change of venue to John Newcombe Tennis Center in New Braunfels, Texas Lutheran men's tennis dropped their non-conference match to the Covenant College Scots, 7-2, Thursday night.

The Bulldogs squad were swept in doubles competition.

Quinn Johnson (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) would pick up his second consecutive singles win - splitting the first two sets 6-2, 3-6 before winning the tiebreaker, 10-7. Freshman Hunter-Kemball Cook (Friendswood/Clear Brook) would secure his first collegiate singles win - splitting the first two sets 6-4, 1-6 before winning the tiebreaker, 10-7.

Texas Lutheran is back in action on Friday, February 25th, in a home match against the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets. First serve is set for 1 PM.
