TLU Men's Tennis falls in home match vs. University of the Ozarks
SEGUIN, Texas -- The University of the Ozarks captured a pair of non-conference team tennis wins Tuesday over Texas Lutheran.
At TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center, the Ozarks Men won 5-0, and the Ozarks Women secured a 6-1 victory.
The Ozarks Men improved to 4-6 overall. The Ozarks Women moved to 1-7 overall.
The TLU Men dropped to 0-7 overall. The TLU Women are now 0-6.
Mary Eby and Kaitlyn Enloe won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles for TLU.
Eby was leading 6-1, 2-1 at No. 1 singles at the moment Ozarks clinched the road win.
Enloe was in a tight battle at No. 2 singles when the match was called. She lost the first set 6-1, but she was up 3-1 in the second.
TLU played the match with four players on the women's side.
In the men's match, Matthew Stephenson and Ryan Schulte dropped a close 8-6 match at No. 1 doubles.
Schulte was in a close match at No. 3 singles when the match was called. Schulte trailed 6-4, 4-3.
TLU Tennis returns to action Friday with a 1 p.m. home match against Sul Ross State.
